She is a features writer for WCP Media and works freelance, across the creative and arts industries, festivals and events, women led businesses and projects that support youth. Liane was a key driver behind the success of the Newcastle Fringe Festival, and has worked for brands such as Riverside Theatres, The Big Laugh Comedy Festival, Canberra Glassworks, Sydney Symphony, UNSW, and the ABC. Liane comes to Hunter Drama as a mother of a former student and with a degree in Drama from the University of Newcastle as well as a Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Marketing. Whilst it’s been many years since she tread the boards herself, she has a long history of working in theatre and is passionate about the benefits of developing drama skills in children. Her theatre credits are too ancient for anyone to remember but include The Eumenides, Chapel Perilous, Bedbug, and Hitting Town for the University of Newcastle Drama Department back in the day when they had a theatre! These days she sings alto 2 in the Sundara choir as part of the Hummingsong Community Choirs.
