Writer’s Lab
This course is specifically designed for young adults (Year 9 and over) who wish to focus on developing their screenwriting and playwriting skills. The Writer’s Lab will work as a close knit group to develop and write monologues, short plays, dramatic scenes and even a full length TV pilot.
Throughout the process they will learn fundamental techniques to help them express themselves through the medium of writing. They will learn how to professionally format, write and pitch their work and will receive feedback from industry leaders who work in professional theatre and television production.
The Writer’s Lab will give students an opportunity to feel what it is like to work in a collaborative, supportive and creative environment and will give them a chance to flex their writing muscles all while developing important skills that are needed for a career in writing.
