Acting for TV & Film (Intermediate)

Want to be on TV? Or work in the film or screen industry?

This course is specifically designed for young adults (School Years 6 – 8) who wish to focus on developing their on-camera acting technique and screen production skills.

Throughout the course students will learn script analysis (specific to screen), develop an understanding of the expectations of acting for camera and gain confidence in their abilities so as to make strong, bold choices every time. Screen acting is decidedly different to its stage counterpart, this course will allow students to explore these differences, and similarities, while focusing on truthful, honest and empowering performances.

Students will also gain working crew knowledge that introduces them to work behind the scenes as well as in front. Each student will take on a creative role as a crew member on a short film project developed by all participants to be submitted in local festivals at the end of each term.
