Pre-Diploma of Musical Theatre
Get yourself ready to study full time courses at institutions like NIDA, WAAPA and BRENT ST!
For students aged 16-25, this course has two streams, daytime for school leavers or evenings for school students. Each includes 2 x weekly 1.5hr workshops that will provide practical study in the disciplines required within the professional musical theatre industry. Students will be trained in:
- Ensemble Singing
- Dance – tap, ballet, jazz
- Acting, for both spoken and sung dialogue
- Vocal health & technique
- Fitness, Health & Safety
- Audition Technique, including guidance from past graduates
- Music Theory
- History of Musical Theatre
- Portfolio Preparation
The workshops are driven by what is required to work in the industry and delivered by practicing professionals and leading tutors from the entertainment arts industry.
The course culminates in a live showcase of your work and a Professional Portfolio including headshots by a prominent industry photographer.
The course is delivered either in a day time or evening format to suit your timetable. You can choose:
Daytime: Tuesday & Wednesday 10:00am-11:30am
Evenings: Wednesday & Thursday 7:00pm-8:30pm
Course fee: $648 per term
