Renae Youman

Renae fell in love with the theatre as a child and has made it part of her life ever since. She began dancing at age 5 which sparked her passion for all things theatrical! Renae was fortunate to travel to the USA as a teenager, where she performed at Disneyworld and Universal Studios and spent a summer as a Drama and Dance instructor at a ‘Summer Camp’ in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Teaching here was the start of a rewarding career, dedicated to embracing performing arts and educating the next generation!

Renae has been involved both on an off the stage with many local theatre companies, performing in productions such as Damn Yankees, Kiss Me Kate, Ultra Swing Lounge and a recent career highlight was tap dancing (and chimney sweeping!) in Mary Poppins, staged by Metropolitan Players.

First and foremost, Renae wants her students to feel at ease. Encouraging nervous, reluctant or apprehensive performers is her forte. Renae’s undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and postgraduate degree, a Graduate Diploma of Teaching and Learning (Primary) have equipped her with the skills and knowledge base to help children flourish!
