YOUNG ACTOR’S PROGRAM – Kinder & Yr 1 (Mon)
Set sail in your own dramatic adventure. Start a wild rumpus and watch as the walls of the drama room turn into a world where anything is possible. Be inspired to use your imagination and explore the characters and world’s in some of the most well known and loved children’s books. Create your own adventures adventures and other crazy and wild characters using improvisation techniques and your own wild imagination. Then develop and rehearse a piece with all your class mates to present at the Laugh Out Loud Festival for family and friends in Term 2.
Spend the first few weeks brushing up on your Laugh Out Loud Festival group performance and perform it at the Playhouse for family and friends.
Do we use puppets? Or do puppets use us? Hmmmm! Enjoy being inspired by beautiful picture books and cartoon characters from famous movies and explore the voices and personalities that make them the most memorable. Create a short voice and character presentation for family and friends using your own body and voice and your very own puppet that you have designed yourself.
Roll up, roll up! The circus is in town. Tumble, swing, jump, twirl and cartwheel your way onto the stage with this terms program inspired by the characters under the big top. Enjoy the world of the circus in this dramatic physical theatre style series of workshops and create your own stories and characters that you develop in your workshops.
If you found a lost penguin on your doorstep, how would you get it back home? Discover how to turn the most fantastical of adventures from a famous picture book by Oliver Jeffers (Lost and Found or How to Catch a Star) into a play with your HD classmates. Work towards creating a short stage-based script for performance at the end of the year for your family and friends at WOW Fest!
