Chelsea Willis

Chelsea is a tutor at Hunter Drama and teaches our junior Musical Theatre programs. Chelsea is heavily involved in both the dance and theatre community in Newcastle.

Chelsea studied her Diploma of Arts (Acting) at the Regional Institute of Performing Arts, completed two years of full-time dance training including RAD Ballet exams at Newcastle Dance Academy and has her Associate Diploma of Performance (Musical Theatre) through Trinity College London.

Most recently, Chelsea has appeared as the Dance Captain in Wicked the Musical at the Civic Theatre and as a featured dancer in Mary Poppins the Musical both with Metropolitan Players, as Kate in Opening Doors a theatre-in-education touring show with Tantrum Youth Arts and the nib foundation, Sammy in the Peppa Pig Show and Queen Miranda in Sofia the First Storytime both for The Entertainment Store as well as a singer in Disney’s Frozen Workshops at Westfield Kotara. Chelsea also appeared as a Dancer in the Stars of Newcastle for the Cancer Council, a Magician Assistant for JD’s world of Magic and as a part of the Westfield Christmas Promotions.

Chelsea was also involved in the inaugural Junior Theatre Celebration in Australia and will be travelling to America as the Assistant Choreographer for the Junior Theatre Festival with Hunter Drama in January as well as performing and choreographing for the CONDA Awards Ceremony.

Chelsea also teaches a music and movement program for people with disabilities through Perform-ability and volunteers at the Starlight Express Room at the John Hunter Hospital.
