Become a member of HDs Young Advisory Committee and have your say in how we run things at HD If you think things could be done better or slightly differently this is your opportunity to make a difference Represent your fellow students at Hunter Drama to bring all of those innovative and exciting ideas to life HD students aged 12 to 18 who regularly attend our term courses or regular short courses are encouraged to apply to be a part of this exciting new initiative The committee meets once a term and provide advice and feedback on programming for our HD family

Hunter Drama is offering one student in the Hunter region the opportunity to be awarded a creative production development grant to stage their own concept The grant will be a minimum of $200000 and will be awarded on the merit of the submission and how well the application can identify how the project will enhance HD and the performing arts community here in the Hunter

Our hugely successful international tour to the USA continues Hunter Drama’s Passport to Broadway Program will run again in January 2019 Become a member of HD’s international ensemble as we again compete at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, attend workshops and masterclasses in Broadway, Junior Theatre Festival and Disneyworld Not to mention checking out the latest entertainment in Times Square right in the heart of Broadway

As a new initiative in 2017 we will again open the pages of selected plays and present them in front of an audience as an intimate and informal staged reading

With the help of a group made up of HD students and professional actors the stories and characters of these plays will get a moved reading treatment Hear the text and language and meet the characters without the focus being placed on set, lighting and costumes
