TERMS AND CONDITIONS

ENROLMENTS: 

  • All enrolments must be made online.
  • Enrolments are not accepted without payment.
  • Enrolments are not accepted over the phone.

DISCOUNT OFFERS: 

  • The discount code NLIVE promoted through Newcastle Live is only valid for new students who have not previously been enrolled in a Hunter Drama course.

DIRECT DEBIT:

  • HD exclusively accepts payments via Direct Debit.
  • Direct Debits will occur on the last Thursday of each term on the following dates: 
  • Term 1 payment- made upon enrolment
  • Term 2 payment- Thursday 11th April, 2024
  • Term 3 payment- Thursday 4th July, 2024
  • Term 4 payment- Thursday 26th September, 2024
  • A dishonour fee of $4.50 will be charged for failed direct debit payments due to insufficient funds, expired cards, or any other reason.
  • Changes and/or updates to credit card or bank details, including expiry dates, must be made in writing to HD prior to Direct Debits dates specified above.
  • I acknowledge that should I wish to withdraw from a course, Hunter Drama requires written notice prior to the end of week 9 of any given term. If no notice of withdrawal is received by week 9 the following term fees will be charged.
  • “HUNTER DRAMA” will appear as the merchant for all payments.
  • Once a course has commenced no refund or credit note is possible unless HD cancels the entire course. 
  • Direct Debit payments must be made before the commencement of participation in a course. Students will not be able to participate in Hunter Drama courses if fees are outstanding.
  • Hunter Drama does not accept responsibility for unattended students unable to participate in courses due to unpaid course fees.
  • Changing classes once a term has commenced may only be possible should availability permit. 
  • A credit or refund is not applicable, nor is attending a replacement class, if a class is missed for any reason.
  • Late fees charged at a pro-rata rate of $60/hour will incur should I not pick my child up on time.

REFUNDS:

  • Full refunds are offered should a student withdraw from a course within two weeks of attending class. 
  • If a student wishes to withdraw, but has attended 3 or more classes, no refund will be applicable.

INDEMNITY:

  • HD workshops involve highly physical activities that may carry the risk of physical harm.
  • HD workshops involve activities that may involve your child coming in direct physical contact with the tutor and other students.
  • HD are not liable for loss or damage of personal belongings.
  • Should HD staff deem necessary for an ambulance to be called, the cost will be incurred by the participant or their guardian/parent.
  • BEHAVIOURAL:
  • HD reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who poses a disciplinary problem to our teaching artists/staff.
  • HD reserves the right to refuse any enrolment as permitted by law or to request a participant to leave a course if they are disruptive, constantly late or have not paid their fees.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO WAIVER:

  • HD reserves the right to make archival photographic and/or visual recordings of workshops and productions for promotional and archival purposes. This includes, but is not limited to,  Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. 
  • All material recorded during HD courses, exercises and activities is the copyright of HD.
  • Participants may not publish recordings or upload on any social media website (audio, videos, or photos) of any activities at HD or other course venues.
  • Where recordings of class work are provided, this material remains the copyright of HD and can only be used by the participant for personal use; it may not be copied, sold, screened publicly or submitted to festivals or school projects.
  • Recordings of class work are not provided to participants unless stated in the course description.

OTHER:

  • HD reserves the right to make amendments to its program without prior notice either before or during a course or to cancel a course.
  • HD reserves the right to merge published structured age groups and structure the classes as required.
  • HD reserves the right to cancel workshops if they do not get a sustainable amount of enrolments. You will be provided with alternatives should this be the case
  • HD reserves the right to make last minute teaching artist substitutions
  • Your personal information will be stored in accordance with current privacy legislations
  • Students aged 5-17 years will be supervised by HD staff at all times and will not be permitted to leave our venue/s. 
  • All HD venues are alcohol free and non-smoking venues.
  • All HD venues are nut free zones. Do not bring foods or drinks that contain nut products.
  • Parents must disclose, at the time of registration, if students have any medical conditions, learning difficulties or behavioural issues. This will assist us in the planning and preparation of our workshops.
  • Observation of classes by parents is not permitted. 
  • HD uniform is mandatory for all classes. Closed in flat shoes should be worn and long hair should be worn tied back off your face. Skirts, dresses, thongs, sandals, hats or excessive jewellery are not permitted. 
  • Additional costume fees may apply.
